Raymond Chandler was a popular mystery and crime writer in the early part of the twentieth century. His most famous creation was hard-boiled private eye Philip Marlowe. PDFs of four Marlowe novels are below.
Chandler also worked on screenplays. He wrote the original play for The Blue Dahlia and co-wrote the screen adaptation for James M. Cain’s Double Indemnity. He helped adapt Patricia Highsmith’s Strangers on a Train but wasn’t happy with the way the project turned out. Movie trailers behind the posters.
